IdleLink ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the IdleLink desktop application and website collect, how it is used, and your rights.
2. Data Collected by the Desktop App
The IdleLink desktop application is LAN-first. By default, no data leaves your local network. When the optional internet relay is enabled:
- Peer connection metadata (IP addresses, session tokens) is transmitted through our relay server to establish peer-to-peer connections.
- We do not log file contents, task payloads, or personal files.
- Session tokens are ephemeral and not stored on our servers beyond the active session.
3. Data Collected by This Website
- Waitlist email addresses — collected only with your explicit consent, used solely to notify you of the v1.0 launch.
- Standard web server logs — IP addresses, browser UA, referrer. Retained for 30 days for security purposes.
- No third-party analytics scripts are loaded on this website.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law.
5. Data Retention
Waitlist email addresses are deleted within 30 days of the v1.0 launch announcement. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@idlelink.app.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / PIPA)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Contact privacy@idlelink.app for any requests.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via the waitlist email and this page. Continued use of IdleLink after changes constitutes acceptance.
